The Department of Defense and the U.S. Air Force awarded VCC an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) 9-year contract to design and construct mission critical facilities and vital infrastructure across the base including sensitive-security projects involving base facilities, buildings, runways, airfields, taxiways, aprons, parking lots, and utilities spread throughout the entirety of Whiteman Air Force Base (WAFB) boundaries. The contract includes mission critical performance features including security & defense initiatives, protection of transportation systems, disruption of threats to installation, protection of critical infrastructure and key assets, disaster support response, and infrastructure construction support. Task order projects vary in size and complexity and require a high degree of flexibility and adaptability on the part of Vazquez and joint venture partner, Reasbeck Construction (VRC) of Warrensburg, MO.
Both Vazquez and Reasbeck have performed work at WAFB for years, supplying millions of dollars of Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction services. Under this specific contract, Vazquez and Reasbeck are united by a partnership that adds continuity, dependability, and peace-of-mind for the Airman serving at Whiteman. The partnership creates price and performance advantages; it also creates a highly responsive team, guaranteeing an effective response to routine and emergency projects.
“The base has a tremendous impact on the Missouri community. We are honored to reciprocate and provide Whiteman stakeholders with quality construction and dependable personnel. I get a great deal of satisfaction by providing the Airman and civilians with a great place to live and work,” said Bob Reasbeck, Vazquez-Reasbeck Partner.
