Vazquez & Reasbeck JV Land a $6MM Task Order at Whiteman Air Force Base for the 509th Force Support Squadron Annex

509th Force Support Squadron

The Department of Defense and the U.S. Air Force awarded Vazquez Reasbeck Construction LLC a 543-day, Task Order to construct an annex to one of the installation’s mission critical facilities from the ‘ground-up.’  The awarded project includes civil site work, utilities, structural, fire protection, and completing all the major building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, communications, controls, security, and building protection systems, and architectural finishes with furniture. This complex project requires VCC and Reasbeck to self-perform substantial portions of each construction division, collaborate daily, and perform flawlessly together from NTP to building turnover in April 2023.

Both Vazquez and Reasbeck are performing work across the WAFB and have for over a decade, supplying millions of dollars of Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction services.  Under this project award, Vazquez and Reasbeck earn the opportunity to showcase the efficiency and economic benefits of the partnership to deliver a high-quality building addition for the USAF.   This building addition improves the mission capabilities of the Force Support Squadron and creates a modern workspace for employees.

“The FSS building at Whiteman AFB is a vital facility that supports nine flights and enables global strike capability by providing unrivaled support readiness, sustainment, development, and community services to the men, women, and families of the Whiteman community.  This project supports the DoD’s force modernization initiative and helps maintain the squadron’s mission capabilities,” said Joe Vazquez Managing Partner of Vazquez-Reasbeck.  “This DoD installation is such an important part of the Warrensburg, Missouri community and we are extremely happy to support the men and women of Whiteman Air Force Base.  I enjoy working with the Air Force and I’m always humbled by these project awards and the continuous construction opportunities to work at the base,” said Bob Reasbeck, Vazquez-Reasbeck Partner.
