The Department of Defense and the USACE awarded VCC an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ), 5-year, contract to design and build civil, military, recreational facilities, and repair vital infrastructure across the St. Paul and Rock Island Districts. The two Districts include portions of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. Task order projects vary in geography, size, and complexity, all requiring significant resources, staffing, and operational readiness. The types of projects include installing, upgrading, removing, replacing, and repairing roadways and parking lots; vertical and horizontal concrete; boat ramps and docks; embankment stabilization and rip rap placement; interior and exterior facility restoration; roofing systems; earth shaping, berms, earthwork, and levees; playground equipment, pavilions, and other small structures; sustainable construction facility upgrades; civil utility systems; facility utility systems; and campground facilities.
Vazquez now performs Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build civil and military construction services for the USACE in the Northwest, Southwest, Mississippi Valley, and Ohio River Valley & Great Lakes Divisions, covering the entire middle and upper-middle sections of the Unites States.
This USACE contract award solidifies our position in the Mississippi Valley Division and completes the company’s strategic growth goal by connecting the construction management and operations teams in Kansas City and Cincinnati. In addition, this newly acquired area and the addition of these two USACE Districts completes the Vazquez 5-year expansion plan (2020-2025). The award represents the hard work of Vazquez employees and adds to our federal contract portfolio in the region,” said Joe Vazquez, President & CEO. “This award creates economies of scale for our PMs and the additional territory connects our HQ offices with our Division Office in Cincinnati, aiding in the growth and retention of VCC’s high-quality subcontractors and employees. This award reflects the outstanding work of our project teams, field leaders, and management personnel. We are thankful for this award and humbled by the opportunity to expand VCC’s service area for the Department of Defense and the USACE. Vazquez is committed to providing the St. Paul and Rock Island stakeholders with great service,” said Joe Vazquez. “The USACE is one of our biggest customers and a very important partner for our company. This contract award strengthens our corporate and subcontractor capabilities in this region. The DoD can count on this team to deliver exceptional design and construction services,” said Joe Vazquez.
